Cookie Policy

Effective date: 8 October 2026

A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to keep and hand back on later visits, which is how sites remember a login or a preference. Similar technologies do the same job by other means: localStorage and sessionStorage keep text in the browser, IndexedDB keeps structured data, tracking pixels report a page view by loading a tiny image from someone else's server, and fingerprinting infers an identifier from your device's characteristics without storing anything at all.

What we checked

Cookies set by this site
Not used. lucidmargin.online sets no cookie of any kind, for any purpose, at any time.
Cookies set by others through this site
Not used. No third party is loaded on any page, so nobody is in a position to set a cookie through us.
localStorage
Not used. Nothing is written to it, including your checklist ticks.
sessionStorage
Not used. Nothing is written to it.
IndexedDB
Not used. No database is opened in your browser.
Tracking pixels
Not used. There is no image, beacon or counter loaded from another server on any page.
Browser fingerprinting
Not used. No script reads your fonts, canvas, screen or hardware characteristics to identify you.
Web fonts and third-party scripts
Not used. Text is set in fonts already on your computer, and the only script is a short first-party file served from this domain.
Server access logs
Used. Our hosting provider records each request to the site, as described below. This is the only entry on this list that is in use.

Why there is no banner

Consent banners exist so that a visitor can refuse storage that would otherwise be placed on their device. There is no such storage here, so a banner would be asking you to agree to nothing. Worse, it would imply that something was being set, which is untrue. The absence of a banner on this site is a statement about the site rather than an oversight.

What does happen

Your browser requests pages from a web server, and that server keeps an access log: the IP address, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and the user-agent string. Those logs are held by our hosting provider, which may store or process data outside Australia, and are kept for 30 days before deletion. They are used for security, abuse prevention and fault diagnosis, and for nothing else. The Privacy Policy sets this out principle by principle, and the two pages describe the same arrangement.

Nothing else happens. There is no analytics product, no advertising tag, no social or video embed, no session identifier and no counter.

The checklists do not remember your ticks

The printable checklists on this site are ordinary lists with printed squares beside each item. They are not interactive, nothing records which ones you marked, and reloading the page does not restore anything, because nothing was stored. No localStorage, no sessionStorage, no IndexedDB, no fingerprinting and no pixel is involved. Ticking is done with a pen, on paper.

After you follow an affiliate link

Some links in the workbook are paid affiliate links to a game vendor's site, and following one takes you off this domain. Once you are there, that vendor's website and the affiliate network that operates the link may set cookies or use similar technology on their own domains, typically to record that the visit came from here. JustOne s.r.o. does not control those cookies, cannot see them and does not receive information identifying individual readers. Their own cookie and privacy notices are the place to find out what they set, and reading those is part of Step 3 of the course.

Blocking or clearing cookies generally

Nothing on this site needs blocking, but the controls are worth knowing. Every current browser has a privacy or content-settings section where you can block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, clear everything already stored, or have storage cleared automatically when the browser closes. Private or incognito windows discard storage when the window is closed. Browsers also offer a way to inspect what a given site has stored, which on this site will show nothing.

If this ever changes

If a cookie or any similar technology is ever introduced here, this page will be rewritten to describe exactly what it is and what it does, with a new effective date, and a working consent mechanism will be in place before the first cookie is set rather than afterwards. No cookie will be set on the basis of this version of the page.
